Julio Morales had a 15 hour run of his life on June 23 at the Black Hills of South Dakota. Julio took on the 50 mile run course that had 9,051 feet of climb and 9,051 feet of descent for a total elevation change of 18,102 feet!
Julio reports, "I ran very
conservative. 4-5 hills but 2 major inclines that had me gasping for air. I knew
it would be a long day when I got to the first aid station at mile 6 in
1hr 20min. At 3pm I was at mile 33. Then I had to climb back up those 2 major
inclines. It took me 2.5 hrs to run/jog/walk/hike
and crawl 7 miles. WOW!!!!
AWESOME
EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!! Next year I'll do the 100K. Thanks Dana."
Way to go, Julio! Would love to see your pics!
