Finish Strong Racing's Nora Wilson won first in her age group at the Heights Fun Run on Saturday, June 1.
Here's Nora's race report, "This race was for me, a
fitness check since the Boston Marathon 6.5 weeks ago. The course is flat
and 'would be' fast, were it not for the heat and humidity!!! Still, it's
a well-organized, pretty, shaded route, out-and-back Heights Blvd. The
post-race festivities take place in Marmion Park, where awards are presented in
a gazebo surrounded by trees, park benches and tents where runners can find
bagels, breakfast tacos, iced coffee and other goodies. There is
also a kids 1K and kid-friendly activities that are fun to watch before awards
and door prizes are announced. This is not a time I'm proud of, but I did
get the W55-59 AG win (barely!) in 23:59 (7:44 pace). Hope this body
gets used to the heat and humidity soon!"
Well done, Nora!
