Bayou City Classic 10K

Finish Strong Racing's Nora Wilson was one of the competitors at the Bayou City Classic.  This race was designated the RRCA State Championship 10k Race for 2013.  Warm conditions (66 at the start, 84% humidity) yielded a slower than planned pace for Nora, but still good enough for 1st place out of 45 women in the 55-59 AG, and 38th female out of 844.  Total chip time: 48:20. 

This is always a great event that is also a part of the HARRA (Houston Area Road Runner's Assn.) Spring Series.  It starts in downtown Houston and after a few blocks, becomes an out-and-back course on rolling Allen Parkway.  Awesome finish line and post-race party with lots of door prizes, food and beer ;-)
